N5RCO CARES

N5RCO Cares is organized to support Robertson County ARES and other local emergency communications organizations.  Ham radio is often effective in situations where other systems, such as cellphones, fail.

As part of its mission, N5RCO Cares may collaborate with and support local, regional, and national emergency communication organizations, including Amateur Radio Emergency Service® (ARES) groups, Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service (RACES) organizations, and the National Weather Service’s Skywarn program. The organization will also work with surrounding counties to strengthen regional disaster response.
